Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa officially opened on 19 December 2006, on the idyllic island destination of Langkawi, Malaysia. Formerly the Sheraton Perdana Resort, The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa's opening set a new standard in hospitality as the first Westin resort in Malaysia. The resort underwent major upgrade works to its extensive facilities for the year of 2006, including addition of Westin signature products and services like the Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Spa, luxury residential villas as well as extensive meeting facilities and is now officially rebranded as a Westin.
