…let's talk a little about men, seduction…

What is your type of guy? Is there a specific type of man you find particularly attractive? Kaila Yu: Confident and charismatic guys with a lot of charm :)

And what is it that you really find unattractive in a guy? Kaila Yu: Total self absorption

A beautiful and famous model usually scares guys away, most men tend to be afraid of really beautiful girls. Do you agree? Kaila Yu: Yah definitely sometimes! But I think that weeds out the guys I don't want. I would never want to date a guy who got intimidated by fame. I want a guy with confidence

What is your personal experience about it? Do you feel guys are afraid to talk to you? Kaila Yu: Sometimes no one approaches me at all!

What is the best way to attract your interest? What should a guy say - or not say - in order to have a chance to at least start a conversation with you? Kaila Yu: Just come up and say hello, no lines no fancy shit, just be yourself.

If you like a guy, do you make the first move? And if yes, what do you usually say to 'break the ice'? Kaila Yu: I never make the first move-I am old fashioned in that way, I like a guy to "chase". I will look in his direction and try to catch his eye though.

Do you remember what was the most pathetic - and of course unsuccessful - attempt to approach you by a guy? Kaila Yu: When guys come up behind you and start "freaking" you on the dance floor, that is so gross! I think a guy should ask permission to dance, not just push his way in and start dancing with you.

If you were a guy (even if you were not a guy…) what type of girl would you fall for? Kaila Yu: Hmm…I have never ever thought of that before! Id so much rather date a guy than a girl haha….but I think I would like to date a girl who was an amazing cook since my favorite thing to do is eat.

Given the right guy, do you tend to fall in love and have a long relationship, or do you like your freedom and independence? Kaila Yu: Some of both! If I get into a relationship, it usually lasts at least a year, but in between boyfriends I'll be single for a year, so I'm mixture of both!

…and now, let's talk about your work…

Do you remember your very first shoot? Can you tell us something about your beginning as a glamour model, your feelings on the set… and how did it all start? Kaila Yu: I don't remember my very first shoot….but I remember my early days as a glamour model. I was always very comfortable with my body during photo shoots, even more comfortable than I was in real life! I think its because people on set were always very professional so I didn't feel nervous or uncomfortable

How important has internet been for your modeling career? Do you think you would be as famous as you are now also without the web? Kaila Yu: The internet has been integral to my modeling career, so much that I don't think that I would have had a modeling career without the internet. I don't think I would be famous at all with the internet, the internet puts the power into my own hands!

Are there any mistakes, or decisions, you would like to have not done or taken in your career? Wrong choices, wrong people… no names, please :-) Kaila Yu: I've made a few really bad modeling choices in my career and I just warn girls, be really really careful of the contracts you sign, not just in modeling and entertainment, but in life!

Your personal advice to a girl who would like to start in the glamour modeling business would be… Kaila Yu: Don't let anyone coerce you into doing anything that you don't want to do and make sure not to go to any photo shoots alone if you don't know the photographer or have a very strong referral to the photographer. Get ready for A LOT of rejection! I don't say this to discourage anyone, I just think that if you are prepared for a lot of rejection, then it isn't as hard. Just know that if you push through it, there is great reward waiting at the end!

What is still missing (if anything is missing, of course) for your career to be a complete and successful one, from your point of view? Kaila Yu: I want my band to be the hugest band in the world!

What are your current projects? What are you working on right now? What is going on in your professional life at this moment? Kaila Yu: Currently I'm recording new music and touring with my band Nylon Pink. We just got back from performing in Australia and our single was on the season premiere of MTV's The Hills. Also, I just released my new jewelry line "Hello Drama Jewelry" http://www.hellodrama.net that I am also really excited about!
