Read on for the interview to our new cover model, Renata Paula Souza.

How old were you when you started your modeling career? It all started as a game. Becoming a fashion model has never really been one of my main goals. I started this career also because it allowed me to earn money and study. Back in Brazil we have a traditions of "Miss"… and most of the girls try to have a career in the show business. When a was a little girl I loved to pretend I was a "Miss", maybe it all started there…

What do you like the most about your modeling work, and what do you dislike instead? The most interesting thing is - in my opinion - that I can act. While shooting, or in a fashion show, on the catwalk. I can be a fascinating woman, I can play, I cansee myself in different situations, different outfits, be admired. But there is also the other side of the coin, and sometimes it all can become very difficult, heavy, exactly the opposite of what I just said. It can be difficult to show who you really are, competition is very strong, and it does not matter if you are a smart girl.

What do you miss the most about your country, Brazil? I miss the light, when it is not summer over here (in Milano), the sun, my family. Even if we keep in strict contact. My friends, Brazilian cakes…

You traveled a lot, which countries have you visited and which ones did you like the most? I did not travel as much as I would have liked. Not yet. But I am going to do it in time. I have anyway visited many countries: Spain, Germany, England, Switzerland, Czech Republic, France, Uruguay, Paraguay… I love the Maldives Islands, a real paradise, as you can see it on the books.

If you could give an advice to a beginner model, what would be the first and most important one? To be serious, build a professional portfolio and to find a serious agency that will take good care of her. Never forget who you are, and where you come from, and never change your personality. Never forget about it.

Your plans, once your modeling career will be over. To be happy, first of all, because this is the most important thing in life. To have a family, a husband, kids, dogs… to be a good mother. Finish my University studies and find a job which allows me to express myself.

Let's talk about men. Your ideal man is… Clean in his choices, honest to other people and to me. And to himself. Sweet but with a strong personality, kind and funny, but not too much. A man who can take care of his look, but also of his soul. With some family values, and no limits, and I do not like liars. I hate liars…

Are you a shopping addict? And when you choose a dress or accessories, do you look at the brand? No… it depends on the moment. I look at the quality, the design, colors and creativity…
