Asian makeup trends for Spring Summer 2014 - Let's keep talking about makeup trends, with - of course - a special focus on the Asian beauty. Are you curious about the new makeup trends for Spring Summer 2014? Well, your curiosity is going to be answered. We interviewed Stella Leung, professional makeup artist based in Singapore, to guide us among the new makeup trends for Spring Summer 2014.

Stella is a certified professional makeup instructor (ex-instructor in Make Up For Ever Academy HK, currently as a part-time trainer with Pro Academy Singapore). She trained more than 1000 students in her training career, and in this interview she will update us on the latest makeup trends and give us her personal advice on makeup products and techniques. This is what she told us.

Let's talk about makeup trends. What makeup trends are the most important ones you see on the horizon for 2014 and more specifically for the Spring Summer 2014 season?

Black, thick and tick eyeliner. Bronze and Golden eyeshadow. Bright and matte lip colors are the main make up trends in 2014

Which makeup product is your personal favorite?

My all time favorite is Hanskin BB Cream, Dior Lip Maximizer, T. Leclerc Loose Powder, Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Creme Eyeliner and MAC Eyeshadow.

Makeup trend: the exaggerated cat eye

You are not only a famous makeup artist on the Singapore scene, but also a trend setter in the field of beauty and makeup. Can you tell us what makeup are you wearing today, and - if possible - give us a brief explanation on how to 'copy' your makeup look? :-)

Thick and tick eyeliner is my icon. You need MAC #219 pencil brush and Make Up For Ever Aqua Black, to create the exaggerated cat eye. (See image on the right - exaggerated cat eye)

Anna Sui red color blush

I love to use Anna Sui red color blush on my face instead of pink or orange. The effect is a naturally red (an after exercise reddish cheek). The trick is to put the blush after the BB cream. After that, use the loose powder to sandwich it. Then the blush can stay on and look sheer. (See image on the left - Anna Sui red color blush)

The must-have beauty product for the Spring Summer 2014 season, the product every girl and every woman should always bring in her purse is...

Make Up For Ever "Mist and Fix" and Blot Powder from MAC are the must have products in our make up pouch. (See images below)

Make Up For Ever "Mist and Fix"

Hong Kong weather is humid hot. The main concern of the make up is how to make it matt, long lasting and hygienic. The trick is to use the Make Up For Ever "Mist and Fix" after the make up, wait for 2-3 min, then put a sheer layer of Blot Powder from MAC on top, this will create a long lasting make up that can last the whole day long.

I think Tom Ford has very good lipsticks, Pink lipstick from Tom Ford is a must have in 2014 S/S too (See image below)

Beauty and skin. How to obtain flawless beautiful skin with the right use of the right makeup products? What is your personal advice?

Flawless beautiful skin is base on how we take care of our skin. Cleaning and toner is the most important part. I like Origins, the Gentle Cleaning Oil and Brightening Anti-Stress Cleaner are really amazing (See images below)

If you have oily skin or big pores, the way to make a prefect silk touch skin and matt finish look, then you need a product called "Doctor Feel Good" from Benefit. Apply by make up sponge on the T zone area before make up base, it can fill up the pores and control the oily skin. (See images below)
