 Reflections
Rooms Bangkok Bangkok is a magical city. For many reasons but also
because sometimes you just have to turn a corner to find yourself plunged
into the local life, far from too large a crowd of tourists and all.
 Reflections is
one of those places that you discover either because someone takes you
there or because you read a review somewhere. You would never find it
by yourself. Simple and trendy, Reflections is a hotel with bar and restaurant
facilities. As a hotel it has an outstanding personality.
30 rooms related to a different subject. Each room is a world of its
own. You step into the lobby and you are given the impression of being
dropped into a 1970s film, possibly directed by Salvador Dalí.
Or else, into an Austin Powers-fashion film, if you know what I mean.
Its Déco style is so flamboyant that at first you think you are
in Miami Beach.
 The atmosphere
is laid-back, with a few guests either lounging on one of the many couches
and sofas or checking their e-mails on the computers at the corner. From
the door located right next to the computers you enter the indoor garden,
with a lovely lighted pool surrounded by very low tables and chairs of
all shapes and sizes. Girls, watch out for your miniskirts!
At the pool edge you can enjoy a drink, order a bottle of red wine, if
you wish (better ask for it not to be served ice-cold if you like sipping
wine at room temperature), or have dinner, that is exactly what the young
local regulars like to do.
 The venue is
very fashionable, cosy and enjoyable. The cuisine is delicious. It is
really amusing watching people while they are forced to skim past the
pool edge owing to the table layout. The risk of an unexpected dive is
high.
So far we did not have the chance to witness such an unforeseen event.
But it is just a question of time...
