Giusto,
Italian restaurant in Bangkok One of the best Italian restaurants
in Bangkok, and this is not just our opinion, is Giusto Bangkok, one of
the meeting points for expats, local hi-so, tourists in search for high
quality Italian food. Located in Sukhumvit Soi 23, a few minutes walk
from the infamous and always lively Soi Cowboy, right in the heart of
Bangkok, you can easily reach Giusto Restaurant by subway (Asoke station)
o BTS (again Asoke station) or, of course, by car.
The parking area - provided on premise - in front of the restaurant is
always crowded with 'low profile' cars such as Jaguar, Ferrari
this
will immediately give you an idea of the kind of public you will regularly
find dining in the restaurant, or enjoying some relaxing time in the lounge
wine bar on the back side of the restaurant.
Dining at Giusto
is something special and you might want to dress up properly before entering
this stylish restaurant. A place where people do not only go for a simple
lunch or dinner, but also to 'see and be seen'. Follow our advice.
The menu (under the supervision of Fabio, the Chef), and the wide wine
selection (under the supervision of Giulio, one of the three owners together
with Renzo and Fabio) are absolutely top class. Salads, pasta's, delicious
fish and meat dishes (and pizza's you must try at least once). True, high
class Italian cuisine and wine selection.
A reservation
is always a good idea, especially if you have very clear ideas about where
in the restaurant you would like to eat. The restaurant is divided in
several areas. A main dining area, two smaller dinning areas and a private
dinning room. The huge glass windows and the trendy and modern ambience
make it one of the most trendy Italian restaurants in Bangkok. Stylish
and modern. In the day time the big windows together with the vegetation
and the trees outside add to the feeling of actually being in a sunny
greenhouse.
At night the
less formal and nonetheless very stylish and fashionable wine bar at the
back of the restaurant, Glass, is our favourite. The kitchen, the menu
- and most importantly the chef - are the same both for the restaurant
and for the wine bar.
Giulio is often to be seen at the tables, chatting with regular customers,
and sharing his knowledge about wines with the most experienced and interested
ones.
The
menu. Just pick anything you like because there is nothing you can go
wrong with. Not just Italian food. French cuisine is one of the specialties
of the chef, but not many people know about it.
Our opinion. A must-visit restaurant when you are in Bangkok.
