ozwald boateng inspired by the crystal quality of water and light on the carribean island of st. barts, ozwald boateng has created a luminous, crisp and vivid collection for ss 2006. boateng's signature, sleek tailoring is realised this season in a range of fine wools as well as his trademark yam mixes, including wool/mohair, linen/wool/silk and cotton/linen. shirts are created in light summer cottons, silks and linens, in an imaginative range of textures and patterns. the palettes for the tailoring collection range from fresh sky blues, whites, creams and yellows, through luminous greys and lilacs into the hotter shades of red and pink and finally in to the deep tones of black, dark blue and his signature purple. as ever detail in the collection is of a paramount importance.
