byblos
byblos light, color and material. the endless play of contrasts that
bring to life the installation works of british artist liam gillick have
inspired the language of form, the graphic chic, and material extremism
that pervade the 2006 spring/summer byblos collection.
the overriding look of the season traces out a lean and sober silhouette.
shirts are an absolute must, multicolored and with contrast fabric shirtfronts.
lightweight sweaters reveal fine couture detailling. colorful stripes
in horizontal bands recall the installation works of gillick. a broad
spectrum of tones are harmoniously brought together in striking contrasts:
beige, fango, white and stone alternate with apple green, plum, raspberry
and geranium reds. the collection is nonconformist, seemingly casual,
but elegant and modern at the same time.
